About
I am a Partner in the Litigation and Insolvency team in our Cayman Islands office with extensive experience in insolvency and restructuring matters, valuation disputes and fraud and asset tracing.
I am instructed by financial institutions in respect of the largest and most complex disputes currently before the Courts.
In the last decade, I have acted in most of the major insolvency matters including Madoff, Sphinx, Belmont and DD Growth and currently act for the creditors in the liquidations of Platinum Partners, the Direct Lending Income Fund and the collapse of the Abraaj Group, and have advised in other high profile matters including Zohar Funds, Luckin Coffee, China Fishery Group, Ocean Rig and Founding Partners.
I have also acted for a number of investment funds in fair value appraisal cases most recently in the appraisal of Sina Corporation.
“Simon Dickson is highly experienced, calm and considered under pressure, with an excellent grasp of the commercial drivers underlying disputes.”
“Simon has deft skills in handling clients and opposing teams even in the most challenging of circumstances.”
