Wynne Lau joined the firm in 2006 and is a Partner in the Corporate practice of Conyers’ Hong Kong office.
Wynne’s practice covers all aspects of corporate and commercial law, with a focus on corporate finance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, re-domiciliation, and banking and syndicated loan transactions. Wynne’s extensive experience spans both equity and debt capital markets, including debt financings, mortgage-backed securities, MTN programmes, pre-IPO financings, IPOs, and dual and secondary listings across major global exchanges such as Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan, and the United States.
Wynne regularly advises investment banks, private equity houses, and corporate clients, including both private and state-owned enterprises from mainland China and internationally, on complex cross-border and multi-jurisdictional transactions.
As one of the few offshore lawyers with on-the-ground experience in mainland China, Wynne brings a deep understanding of PRC business culture to her practice. She maintains long-standing relationships with major clients, such as State Grid Corporation of China, having advised on its first international debt issue and subsequent multi-tranche, dual-currency global offerings.
